DETROIT - The Detroit Pistons won their second consecutive game last night in a 112-107 victory against the Toronto Raptors at Little Caesars Arena.

A shot clock violation at the end of the fourth quarter led the game into overtime with the score tied, 100-100.

The Raptors star player, Kyle Lowry, made all seven of the teams overtime points. The game tied for the tenth time,107-107, with 1:30 left in the game.

Andre Drummond and Luke Kennard sunk two free throw shots each, extending their lead to 111-107 with six seconds left in the game. Blake Griffin made the game winning free throw point.

“We found a way,” said Pistons coach Dwane Casey. “Gritty win. We’re developing an identity that we’ve got to have to win big time in this league. That’s the way it’s going to be in the playoffs.”

The Pistons may have played aggressive in the last seconds of overtime, but in the fourth quarter it appeared to be anyone’s game.

They entered the fourth quarter down two points and without Zaza Pachulia who was ejected in the third quarter on a technical foul for arguing with an official. That left Casey with no choice but to play Drummond who was already in foul trouble.

“(Pachulia) got pushed in the back twice - no call,” said Casey. “A man’s going to be a man in those situations. It’s tough. He knows better. We need him.”

With Lowry off the court in the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Pistons were able to take the lead six times.

The Pistons led by two with :41 left in the fourth quarter. The Raptors came back with a layup by Ogugua Anunoby that tied the game and took it into overtime.

Kennard averaged 60 percent in the field was five for nine in three pointers and tied with Reggie Jackson with 19 game points.

The Raptors made a 33 point jump from the end of the first half and ended the third quarter, 78-73. Lowry led the team with 12 points and was the games top scorer with 35 points, seven rebounds and 45.8 field goal percentage.

The first half ended 48-45. Griffin scored 14 points in the first quarter, and a game total of 27 points and seven rebounds.

The Raptor was missing Kawhi Leonard who was out on rest.

Next, the Pistons play the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday at 7pm in Little Caesars Arena.
