The
Parade
Company
is
hosting
a
“Princess
Brunch”
at The
Parade
Company
Studio
from 10
a.m. –
noon to
celebrate
the 2011
Princess
Scholarship
applicants
and
their
families
and
officially
crown
the 2011
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade®
Queen
and
Court.
The
Princess
Scholarship
Program
is
designed
to
recognize
women
between
the ages
of
17-23,
that are
currently
a high
school
senior
or
enrolled
in an
accredited
Michigan
university.
The
candidates
represent
a group
of women
whom
invest
their
time and
energy
in their
community
in a
positive
way. The
panel of
judges
selected
the five
candidates
based on
academics,
campus &
community
involvement,
personality
and
knowledge
of
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade®.
Four of
the top
five
candidates
will be
recognized
as
Parade
Court
members
and will
receive
a $250
scholarship.
The
final
candidate
will be
named
the 2011
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade®
Queen
and
receive
a $1,000
scholarship.
All five
women
will
ride in
the 85th
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade
in
downtown
Detroit
on
Thanksgiving
morning.
