Holiday
Fest

Sixth
Annual
Southwest
Holiday
Fest
takes
place
from 2
to 6
p.m.,
Saturday,
Dec. 8
at five
‘Cultural
Activity
Center’
locations
throughout
Southwest
Detroit:
W.
Vernor
at 21st,
W.
Vernor
at 25th,
Bagley
at 24th,
W.
Vernor
at
Central,
and
Michigan
Avenue
at
Wesson.
In
addition
to an
exciting
family-friendly
holiday
entertainment
line-up,
the
holiday
fest
features
many
traditional
food and
beverage
items,
vendor
tables,
giveaways
and
more.
“Southwest
Detroit
is
excited
to once
again
host the
annual
Southwest
Holiday
Fest,
offering
families
a way to
celebrate
the
holiday
season
with an
interactive
entertainment
lineup
and
authentic
Latin
American
cuisine,”
said
Raymond
Lozano,
Executive
Director
of the
Mexicantown
Community
Foundation.

re-enactment
of the

contest,

youth
performances
from
both the
Center
of Music
&
Performing
Arts-Southwest
(COMPÁS)
and
Western
International
High
School’s
Jazz
Ensemble.
