Holiday
Fest

Sixth
Annual
Southwest
Holiday
Fest
takes
place
from 2
to 6
p.m.,
Saturday,
Dec. 8
at five
‘Cultural
Activity
Center’
locations
throughout
Southwest
Detroit:
W.
Vernor
at 21st,
W.
Vernor
at 25th,
Bagley
at 24th,
W.
Vernor
at
Central,
and
Michigan
Avenue
at
Wesson.
In
addition
to an
exciting
family-friendly
holiday
entertainment
line-up,
the
holiday
fest
features
many
traditional
food and
beverage
items,
vendor
tables,
giveaways
and
more.

Detroit
is
excited
to once
again
host the
annual
Southwest
Holiday
Fest,
offering
families
a way to
celebrate
the
holiday
season
with an
interactive
entertainment
lineup
and
authentic
Latin
American
cuisine,”
said
Raymond
Lozano,
Executive
Director
of the
Mexicantown
Community
Foundation.

interactive

of
skits,

Cocoa
with the
Disney
movie,
“Coco”,
Las
Posadas
- a
re-enactment
of the
journey
of Mary
and
Joseph,
a Mole
sauce
and
Tamale
tasting
and
contest,
and
youth
performances
from
both the
Center
of Music
&
Performing
Arts-Southwest
(COMPÁS)
and
Western
International
High
School’s
Jazz
Ensemble.
