The
Northeast
Guidance
Center’s
(NEGC)
first
annual
Kruise4Kids
boat
ride
aboard
the
Infiniti
was a
huge
success.
The
business
and
corporate
community,
and the
community
came out
in large
numbers
to
support
them in
their
effort
to raise
money to
help
children
with
behavioral
disorders.
Some of
the
supporters

“Over
the past
several
years,
cuts
have
been
made to
mental
health
services
for
children,
said
Cheryl
Coleman,”
President
and CEO
of NEGC.
“More
cuts are
expected
with the
decision
to cut
families
off of
cash
assistance
after 18
months,
a fact
that
columnist
Rochelle
Riley
explained
in the
DFP
column.
Kruise4Kids
is
important
and will
ultimately
save
taxpayer
dollars
and
lives."

NEGC
takes an
entire
“family
approach”
to help
children
with
severe
behavioral
difficulties
live up
to their
full
potential.
The
Children
and
Family
Services
program
offers
comprehensive
services
to
children
from
birth
through
age 17
as well
as
family
support.
"Northeast
Guidance
Center
provides
crucial
services
to
children
who are
experiencing
a mental
health
issue
with
treatment,
and has
helped
thousands
effectively
deal
with
issues
and
become
successful
with
their
lives,
comments
Coleman.
“We have
numerous
examples
of our
kids
going on
to
college
and
becoming
happy,
contributing
adults”.
