taxes,
it was
announced
today.
“Given
that the
federal
government
shutdown
is
having
an
economic
impact
on
workers
located
in our
area, we
thought
it to be
only
fair and
prudent
to offer
options
to
extend
their
payments,”
said
Treasurer
Sabree.
Sabree
noted
that
since
the
December
22, 2018
shutdown
of the

5,000 of
whom are
in
Michigan,
his
office
had
received
calls
and
inquiries
from
workers
who say
they may
not be
able to
make
their
scheduled
payments.
“We
work
with
people
to
assist
them
based on
their
individual
circumstance,”
said
Sabree.
“There
are a
lot of
people
who are
not
getting
paid,
and they
have
absolutely
no
control
over
that
until
the
shutdown
issue is
resolved.”
Sabree
said he
wanted
to reach
out to
the
community
to let
everyone
know
that if
they are
in
danger
of
keeping
up with
their
payment
plan or
need
help,
they can
