Open For

DETROIT
– The
landmark
125-room
Hotel
St.
Regis
and 110
seat
La’Musique
Restaurant
are open
and
ready
for
business.
Earlier
this
year,
2011,
the
property
was
purchased
out of
receivership
by a
group of
local
investors
lead by
iconic
Detroit
businessman
O’Neil
Swanson.
Since
that
time,
the
group
has been
working
hard to
ensure
that the
hotel
exceeds
the
guest
expectations.
Despite
the
challenges
of
trying
to
preserve
an
historic
Detroit
landmark,
Swanson
remains
optimistic.
“Detroit
can’t
afford
to lose
this
jewel,”
says
Swanson.
“I want
to make
sure
that
everyone
in our
city
knows
that we
are open
and
ready
for
business.
We all
need to
cherish
and
embrace
our rich
historic
architecture
and
history.”
Unique
to the
hotel
are
skywalks
that
connect
five
major
buildings
in the
New
Center
area,
including
the
Fisher
theatre,
Cadillac
Place
and New
Center
One.
Central
to many
major
office
buildings
and arts
institutions,
The St.
Regis
Hotel
and
La’Musique
Restaurant
are
immediate
neighbors
of Henry
Ford
Hospital,
and all
major
state
government
offices.
Hitsville
USA and
the
Motown
Museum
are
blocks
away.
Hotel
amenities
include
high-speed
wireless
Internet
service
throughout
the
hotel, a
fully-equipped
business
center,
cozy
library,
catering
and
banquet
services
and
more.
Guest
rooms
have
been
redesigned
with
European
furnishings,
featuring
state-of-the-art
therapeutic
mattresses,
DVD
players,
AM/FM/MP3/CD
players
with
iPOD
dock,
high-speed
wireless
Internet
connection
and
more.
Each of
the
hotel’s
suites
are
named
for a
famous
Motown
artist,
flat-screen
televisions,
slippers
and
robes.
The
Presidential
Suite
has a
full
kitchen,
dining
area and
living
room.
“At $105
for an
average
night’s
stay at
the
Hotel
St.
Regis,
the cost
is
anywhere
from $10
to $25
less
than all
of our
competition
making
room
rental
rates
consistently
affordable,”
said Joe
Keyes,
general
manager
of the
Hotel
St.
Regis.
With
more
than
