Grand Innovation launches courses to empower local business owners

Since 2010 our clients have received over $3 million in loans, grants and technical assistance dollars.

DETROIT - Grand Innovation is conducting their latest session of courses for entrepreneurs and business owners. Starting the week of September 10, 2018, attendees will learn how to create sustainable businesses. Held at the Entrepreneurs Hub, 1400 Woodbridge, near Detroit’s riverfront, the comprehensive training and coaching helps entrepreneurs to develop the mindset and skills necessary to fulfill their entrepreneurial goals.

Grand Innovation offers comprehensive entrepreneur group training courses paired with individualized business coaching reinforced by the curriculum. Participants gain tangible tools to access pre and post-loan technical assistance, develop and strengthen business plans, create solid financial projections, and implement marketing and sales strategies.

“Our goal is to provide social equality to the community by empowering others to change their lives through entrepreneurship,” says founder, president and business coach, Nicole Farmer.

Jumpstart Your Business is a 10-week class for entrepreneurs interested in starting a business as well as those already in business. Instructors are entrepreneurs who share lessons from real trials, tribulations, and triumphs of the business world. The curriculum covers, in-depth, all necessary tools to create a business plan as well as exercises for understanding just what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Professional guest speakers provide industry-specific information on topics such as forming business entities, public relations, accounting, non-profit foundations and insurance.

Business Plan Development is an 8-week class to complete a business plan and learn funding options. These are working sessions. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and be prepared to complete business plan sections while they learn. Financial Projections will help participants understand and complete the financials forecasts needed for their business plan.
