The City

Organizers
and

were
eager to
unveil
plans
for the
new
exciting
2011
Ford
Arts,
Beats &
Eats
that
will
take
place in
Royal
Oak from
Sept. 2
– 5. The
Royal
Oak
Music
Theater
transformed
into an
indoor
minute
venue
for a
peek
into
what is
promised
to be
bigger
and
better,
if your
imagination
can
handle
that.
Previews
of
upcoming
attractions
put a
sparkle
in the
eye for
beautiful
handcrafted
jewelry,
tasty
and
appealing
foods
for the
most
discriminating
palates,
creative
artistic
wares,
“beats”
from
local
entertainers
and
healthy
fitness
techniques
to help
you
maintain
your
lifestyle.
ARTS
Beautiful
unique
designs
to help
jumpstart
your
desire
to add
to your
jewelry
wardrobe
gleamed
under
the
lights.
Artistic
designs
created
from
unusual
elements
were
displayed
which
will add
conversation
and
beauty
to your
home.
The
stage
was set
and
added an
element
of
anticipation.
This is
an
Award-Winning
Juried
Fine
Arts
show
that you
don’t
want to
miss.
BEATS
The
Michigan
Lottery
Stage
promises
to
feature
‘…high
profile,
up and
coming
national
acts as
well as
international
stars.’
Funkadelic
legend,
George
Clinton
and the
P-Funk
All
Stars
are
headliners.
There
are so
many
great
music
delights
that you
will
have to
check
the
schedules
to find
out who
you want
to see.
EATS
Awery’s
Bakery
presented
delectable
treats
of an
upscale
cupcake
type
dessert
that
made the
mouth
sit up
and take
notice
after
the
first
bite.
Awery’s
Bakery
is
planning
to
showcase
reasons
for
celebrating
its
100th
year in
2010.
Town
Tavern,
Pronto
and Palm
Palace
restaurants
had very
appetizing
displays
with
absolutely
delicious
entrees.
It will
be
difficult
to
decide
where
and how
much you
want to
indulge.
There
are
approximately
70
restaurants,
caterers,
and
dining
attractions
lined
up.
Soaring
Eagle
Cuisine
Machine
has a
‘hookup’
that
will
make
everyone
‘line
up’ to
sample.
There’s
even a
cooking
school
“Duel”
on tap.
You can
definitely
get your
‘Eats’
on by
visiting
this
event.
Family
activities
will
offer
something
for all.
The
Oakland
County
Parks
Kids
Stage
will
feature
performances
to
engage a
wide age
range.
Fun
continues
with
hands on
activities
from the
Creative
Arts
Studio
of Royal
Oak Kids
Arts &
Crafts
as well
as a
Kids
Zone.
Healthy
tips and
activities
have
been
planned
with a
wide
array of
events
to help
keep the
fitness
themes
exciting.
There
are
numerous
activities
planned
for day
and
night to
keep the
crowds
coming.
This
could
possibly
be a
ritual
that
many
look
forward
to each
year to
help
extend
the
Labor
Day
celebration.
There
has been
much
thought
and
preparation
put into
making
this
year an
outstanding
one. It
promises
fun and
more
importantly,
Citizens
Bank is
ensuring
that
Gleaners
Food
Bank
